The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 for a regular meeting. Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

Roll Call: Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Milburn, Souder.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Also Present: Herb Weatherly; Carrie Perialas, E-911; Patti Dombrowski; Marie Thompson, E-911; Glenn Schicker, H.L. Resorter; Fred Chidester, Denton Township Supervisor; Norma Lee Boyle, Gerrish Township Clerk; Randy Stevenson, Undersheriff; Fran Staley, Sheriff; Keith Osentoski, RHS Student Council; Derek Bradley, RHS Student Council;

1. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Smolarz to approve the agenda. On

roll call: Ayes: Souder, Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Milburn. Nays: None.

Motion carried.

Controller’s Report: Cheryl talked about the Rap Grant, COAM Negotiations, Bids, Board Rules, and Maximus.

Review of Monthly Reports: Airport.

Correspondence

A. Terri Pacella, Sunshine Kid’s Club.

Re: Funds

B. Marcie Dankert, Roscommon Township’s Assoc.

Re: Road Commission.

2. Moved by Smolarz, seconded by Milburn in keeping with the State

guidelines the new mileage rate of 48.5 cents effective

March 1, 2007. On roll call: Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Souder, Milburn,

Smolarz. Nays: None. Motion carried.

Roscommon High School Students from Student Council attended the meeting to see how Local Government works.

Committee Reports

Nellist – Meeting with Gladwin County Commissioner’s soliciting them to help with

timber cutting and deer. He attended the Animal Control Board Construction Meeting.

Lowell – Commission on Aging important the Commissioner’s see Treasurer’s Report.

3. Moved by Smolarz, seconded by Milburn to adjourn meeting. On roll

call: Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Milburn, Souder. Nays: None.

Motion carried.
