The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 for a regular meeting. Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

Roll Call: Ayes: Smolarz, Mead, Nellist, Milburn, Souder.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Also Present: Herb Weatherly; Ron Eno, Equalization Director; Marie Thompson, E-911; Glenn Schicker, H.L. Resorter; Mark Chapman, Lt. Sheriff’s Dept.; Bill Ancel;

1. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Smolarz to approve the agenda.

On roll call: Ayes: Milburn, Souder, Nellist, Mead, Smolarz. Nays:

None. Motion carried.

2. Moved by Souder, seconded by Nellist to approve minutes from

February 14, 2007 and February 28, 2007. On roll call: Ayes:

Nellist, Milburn, Souder, Mead, Smolarz. Nays: None. Motion

carried.

3. Moved by Smolarz, seconded by Milburn to approve Claims and

Accounts. On roll call: Ayes: Souder, Smolarz, Mead, Nellist,

Milburn. Nays: None. Motion carried.

4. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Milburn to approve Class A Bills.

On roll call: Ayes: Smolarz, Souder, Nellist, Milburn, Mead. Nays:

None. Motion carried.

Controller’s Report. Cheryl discussed with Bank regarding Electronic Distribution of payroll. Bank will make a presentation to employee’s. Worked on policy on purchasing.

Airport Committee meeting on Friday morning at 10:30 A.M. POAM Contract has been

proofed, will get with Pat Speidel.

5. Moved by Souder, seconded by Milburn to approve Treasurer’s

report dated February 28, 2007 as presented. On roll call: Ayes:

Milburn, Souder, Mead, Nellist, Smolarz. Nays: None. Motion

carried.

Visitors

Student Council Members Danielle Becker and Erica VanWormer attended the

Commissioner’s Meeting to observe how local government works.

Review of Monthly Reports: Sheriff’s Dept.; Animal Control;

Correspondence.

Committee Reports:

Jim Smolarz – Board to honor Gerald Wojtylko at next board meeting.

Public Comment – George Pappas spoke to board regarding a 5 person board

for the Road Commission.

6. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Smolarz to authorize the Airport

Committee to open and award the furnace bids for the airport

Hangar on Friday, March 16, 2007. On roll call: Ayes: Milburn,

Souder, Smolarz, Mead, Nellist. Nays: None. Motion carried.

7. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Nellist to re-appoint Peggy Rose

to the Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Board for a three

(3) year term beginning April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2010. On

roll call: Ayes: Souder, Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Milburn. Nays: None.

Motion carried.

8. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Mead to adjourn meeting. On roll call:

Ayes: Smolarz, Mead, Nellist, Milburn, Souder. Nays: None. Motion

carried.
