The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 for a regular meeting.  Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

 

Roll Call:  Nellist, Mead, Schneider, Milburn, Souder.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

            1.         Moved by Millburn, seconded by Souder to approve the agenda as

                        presented.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Schneider, Mead, Souder,

                        Milburn.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

            2.         Moved by Nellist, seconded by Schneider to reactivate on October 23,

                        2008 the Roscommon County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority

                        that was previously established in 2003.  The Authority Board will

                        consist of:  Chairman:  Roscommon County Economic Development

                        Coordinator.  Committee Membership:  Roscommon County

                        Commissioner, Roscommon County Treasurer, One Township Treasurer,

                        One Township Supervisor, Roscommon County Economic Development,

                        Corporation Representative, Roscommon Village Manager, Multi-List

                        Realtor Representative, Roscommon Area Banking Representative,

                        MSU Extension Representative and Roscommon County Planning

                        Representative.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Souder, Milburn, Mead, Schneider,

                        Nellist.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

            3.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Souder to enter into a contract with Jason

                        Dasho for the Roscommon County Emergency Management Coordinator

                        in the amount of $8,200.00 per year and authorize Chairman, Larry D.

                        Mead to sign necessary documentation.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Schneider,

                        Mead, Milburn, Souder, Nellist.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

Public Comment – Fairboard having a dinner at the VFW Hall on 10-29-2008 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

 

            4.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Schneider to adjourn meeting.  On roll

                        call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Mead, Schneider, Milburn, Souder.  Nays:  None.

                        Motion carried.
