The Roscommon County Planning Commission is no longer active due to budget shortfalls stemming from the failed general operation millage restoration vote on November 8, 2022. 


When necessary, Township Planning Commissions may seek review from the Region 7 Planning Agency at the address below.

Ordinance Review
Township planning commissions wishing to have the Roscommon County Planning Commission review new or revised ordinances should submit requests at least 1 week prior to the meeting date. Documents may now be emailed (per PDF or MS Word); however, if a hard copy is the only method available from the agency, the following applies: If document is 5 pages or less, 7 copies must be provided; if more than 5, they may submit only 1 copy. The Roscommon County Planning Commission requests that a member of the township planning commission attend the meeting to present the ordinance change and be available to answer questions and address any concerns.

County Master Plan

For a copy of the County Master Plan for 2011 (PDF), email the comissioner’s office. The cost is $5 per CD copy of the plan, $30 for a printed copy of plan, or it is available online (PDF). ***NOTE*** County Master Plan is currently under revision.
